S tar Pharmacy is back in the Salinas Valley. They needed a new brand, one that paid homage to the historic and traditional roots but elevated the business to the modern take. The typography selected was a classic serif, with a customized RX to serve as an exit point for your eye to read through the logo. Upon the design of the main type portion of the logo, our team focused on designing the perfect star. There are endless ways to design a star, many different shapes, thicknesses and colors. We elected to go with a very subtle gradient from a bright yellow to a warmer yellow/orange.
Every brand identity (not to be confused with a simple logo design) we create includes a brand book which serves as a guide to every element of the brand. The length of the book depends on the complexity of the brand and how long it's been around.
All brands include proper usage examples, and improper usage, as well as colors in all variations (print and web safe mediums) as well as information behind the theory of the brand. These guides serve as extremely useful for new and re-branded companies to ensure every medium of print maintains brand consistency, resulting in a much more polished final image and brand credibility.
Color plays a fundamental part in the direction of branding because it instantly creates an identity. Different colors work for different projects and brands, so one color might not go with a certain brand. It's all about what looks good and what will end up working the best, and our team at Zeeqk can help you identify the best direction for your business.
In today's society we are constantly bombarded by products, signage, and advertisements trying to grab our attention. That's why it's so important you take the time to work on your business image and stand out against competition. According to the way our natural senses function, color is the most influential, followed by shapes, symbols, and finally words.
